These eerie photos from an abandoned “Wonderland” theme park in China will haunt you

Although we’re well aware of how fabulous Disneyland Shanghai already is, you probably didn’t know that several years ago, China attempted to build another amazing park called Wonderland in Beijing.

According to China Daily, Wonderland was going to be the biggest amusement park in Asia. However, construction of the park was abandoned way back in 1998 after problems with protected land came to light. Apparently the buildings were all demolished by 2013, with only some foundations remaining.

Here’s a look at some of the eerily unfinished structures before their demolition.

We can’t even imagine how amazing this park would’ve been like had it been completed. And if you’re still curious, check out these beautiful images by photographer David Gray.
