A savings expert says these 6 items are way cheaper if you buy them in February

It’s never the wrong time to go shopping! Okay, that’s not exactly true, but we do love to shop whenever we have the money to do so. Now thanks to savings expert app, Flipp, we know the six items you should buy in February for way cheaper than normal.

The Flipp app puts all of your local weekly ads at your finger tips. Plus, the app will automatically find your local circular deal, including coupons, for everything on your list!

We previously reported on the items to buy in January according to this app’s data and we’re back with even more savings for February. According to Flipp’s savings expert, Lisa Lee Freeman, and her handy savings calendar there are six items that are huge steals for the month of love.

Here’s What to Buy in February:

Television Sets

Like Black Friday deals, February is the month for TV deals that you can’t pass up. You can thank the Super Bowl (February 5th) for all these markdowns.

“Manufacturers are rolling out new models at the same time people are hunting down big screens ahead of the big game,” Freeman said. “After the big game, whatever doesn’t sell gets marked down even more to make way for new TVs, which are introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.”

Snacks, Snacks, Snacks

Who doesn’t like snacks? We do! This month is actually National Snack Food Month, so supermarkets will have chips, dips and other snack items on sale. Oh, and again thanks to the Super Bowl you will get even more savings on foods you’d serve at a big football bash.

Canned Foods

There’s another holiday this month that you should be aware of…National Canned Food Month! Many retailers with have big sales in honor of this celebration, so get those coupons and head to the grocery stores.

Socks and Underwear

According to the Flipp app guru there are a LOT of end-of-season footwear and apparel sales to look out for. These will include lots of socks and any, and all, undergarments. No one likes to pay full price for underwear, so this is a BIG deal.

Refurbished Electronics

After the holidays, people return items that they’ve opened and then returned. If you stumble upon a floor sample, or open-box item online or in stores, you will get major discounts for buying them.

Clothing Galore

We know you probably scored big on clothing items around the holidays, but President’s Day Weekend will have “some of the most high value sales.” This means you can find some of the highest percentage off discounts of the whole year. Sounds pretty good right?

Side note: February brings President’s Day (February 20th), so there will be a LOT of weekend sales for that.

Plus, it’s Valentine’s Day on the 14th, so look out for sales then too.
