A parrot did a cover of “Chandelier” by Sia, and we’re incredibly impressed
If you’ve been on the internet long enough, you know that in general, cats rule. But, what about birds? After hearing this talented parrot do a cover of “Chandelier” by Sia, you might have a bit more appreciation for your feathered friends.
The video, posted by Nathan Lopez on Facebook, shows the bird flawlessly covering the song with just as much dedication as the original singer herself.
As he’s from the Philippines (and probably received a lot of questions about the video) Lopez added “Fyi! They love showers, hes singing so hes happy” to explain the parrot’s actions a bit better.
Just take a listen, and see for yourself:
Not too bad for a bird, right? We can tell that this parrot is a huge fan of the song, since it was released three years ago. For a pop song, that’s a pretty incredible span of time to still be in the public eye.
Sadly, Sia has yet to respond to the video of her feathered fan — but since she openly and actively supports animals and animal rights, she’d probably approve.
The strange part? The parrot seems to freeze a bit during the “fly like a bird through the night” line, which we’d assume would come naturally to him. But, perhaps with a bit more exposure to the song, he’ll be able to glide through the lyrics flawlessly.
Still, we’re pretty impressed. That’s some bird.
