Everything we know, we’ve learned from YouTube. Okay, maybe not everything but the important things — like how to make the best natural DIY body butters (Hey! HeyFranHey) and of course, how to create the perfect winged eyeliner look. Seriously, all our most epic make up looks have come from watching endless YouTube tutorials from beauty gurus…who were usually women.

But a lot has change since the launch of YouTube, there is no denying make-up tutorials used to be a “no boys allowed” club and we can thank society for that! Society has done an excellent job of enforcing stereotypical views and gender norms. Because who needs gender equality, right? (We do! We really, really do!)

Which is why we’re so glad to a lot more male beauty gurus popping up on YouTube and showing off their badass makeup skills while fiercely challenging the “norm”. These beauty boys are proving that makeup isnt just for women! We were so inspired that we put together a list of our favorite beauty boys of 2016 and included their YouTube bios…because that’s where it all started.
