7 Pop Culture Reunions That Need to Happen STAT

In case you missed it, the cast of Napoleon Dynamite was recently all together in one place, and it was glorious and filled everyone who saw it with joy. Why do we long for cast reunions so hard? This is something for sociologists to ponder for the ages. In the meantime, we just want to see all these people together—not in mini-reunions, not in special-guest-star cameos. ALL TOGETHER AGAIN. Here are eight pop culture reunions that need to happen, STAT.

1. Friends

Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry appeared on Courteney Cox’s Cougar Town. Courtney Cox appeared on Matthew Perry’s Go On. David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc appeared on Lisa Kudrow’s Web Therapy. You get the idea: All of the Friends are still enjoying successful acting careers, just not on the same show at the same time. Rumors are always circulating about the six of them reuniting for a Friends movie, and if it ever actually happens, I think the world will implode from excitement.

2. Saved by the Bell

A few years ago, Mark-Paul Gosselaar appeared on Jimmy Fallon as Zack Morris and made it clear he’s down for a reunion whenever the rest of the cast is. (Let’s be clear, I have no interest in erroneous characters from Good Morning, Miss Bliss or Saved by the Bell: The College Years. Those do not qualify as television shows.) Even if an official reunion never happens, seeing Zack Morris himself is almost good enough.

3. Will & Grace

Will & Grace is one of those rare, magical shows that had an amazing cast with amazing chemistry. I laughed, I cried, and then I laughed some more. I still perform the “Jack 2000” maneuver to rave reviews. For all of the shows that receive half-hearted spinoffs—and are ultimately canceled—I ask: Why not Jack & Karen?

4. S Club 7

I’m not talking S Club 3 or S Club 4, as members of the group are wont to form mini S-Clubs. I’m talking S Club original freaking 7. Do you remember the TV show? Do you? ‘Never Had a Dream Come True’ was my anthem for at least six days in the year 2000. Get the original group back together and I’m totally there.

5. Grease

It’s been 36 years since Grease first graced the big screen, but you’d be hard pressed to find a generation that hasn’t fallen in love with Danny, Sandy and their uber-cool friends. How about a 37-year high school reunion?

6. Boy Meets World

I know Girl Meets World is totally a thing now, but hear me out, because there are plenty of characters who will likely never cross into the new spinoff. Let’s get the old gang together, including Eric, Jack, Rachel and Angela, even Eli and Mr. Turner. Fun fact: Did you know Mr. Feeney and Dean Bolander were married not only on the show, but also in real life? Mind blown.

7. Gilmore Girls

Really, I would pay any amount of money to watch Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel exchange quips about any given topic. Can you imagine them in a rap battle? Maybe just let Bledel guest star in the final season of Parenthood and I’ll be happy, plus an appearance from Sookie. And Michel. And Luke. And Lane. And Jess—don’t you DARE say Dean or Logan. Okay, maybe a full Gilmore Girls reunion is in order. If that’s the case, even Paris can come.
