October 13th had everyone hilariously banning their bras in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
While most of us joke about ripping off our bras at the end of each day, many may not know there’s an entire day and movement, dedicated to not wearing one at all. October 13th has been declared “No Bra Day” and each year, there’s no shortage of people who are willing to let it all hang out.

While the day may have a humorous tone, it’s actually observed for a more serious reason: to honor all those who are battling, survived or lost their lives to breast cancer. The day is held in October because it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. While we are honoring and remembering moms, aunts, grandmas and friends who have been affected by the disease, we are having a little fun with the sometimes constricting and ill-fitting contraption we are forced to put on daily.
