This 3-year-old boy has the perfect reaction to a parking ticket

Getting a parking ticket is NEVER a fun experience. You’re just trying to live your life, parking somewhere with dubious signage, and along comes some authority figure to ruin your day. It’s a hard lesson to learn, and one that 3-year-old Declan Tramley unexpectedly encountered.

The Halifax native was stopped on his red, plastic motorcycle when Police Constable Shawn Currie spotted him parked in a ‘no parking’ zone. The officer had no choice but to issue a citation (albeit a totally fake one).  Tramley, of course, responded like anyone would:

The Halifax Regional Police posted the photo to their Facebook page, along with the caption, “Remember, you cannot park your motorcycle in the circle by the ferry terminal, we caught this ruthless biker there yesterday.”

Obviously, this was all for a good laugh, and Declan was totally in on it. “His dad approached Currie and told him he loves police, and they conspired to give him a ticket for fun,” Halifax Regional Police Sgt. Pierre Bourdages told ABC News.

Since the photo was posted on Facebook, it’s received over 14,000 likes and almost 4,000 shares. But Declan is more of a fan of the ticket itself. His mom told CTV News that he even wanted to keep it by his pillow at bedtime.

Talk about a law abiding citizen.
