Attention all people looking for a job, all people wanting to switch careers or all people who just enjoy knowing how much money other people make. Glassdoor, a company that tracks and maintains a database of career, salary, benefits, and compensation information, has compiled a list of the highest paying jobs in the U.S. for 2016. And good news, all the careers have tons of openings!
In a survey Glassdoor sent out over the past year, around seven out of ten people (68%) reported that salary is one of the most important things they consider when searching for a new job.
Nearly half of the jobs listed are tech-related jobs—specifically computing, software, informational technology or data. But not surprisingly, the top two spots belong to physicians and lawyers.
“This report reinforces that high pay continues to be tied to in-demand skills, higher education and working in jobs that are protected from competition or automation,” Dr. Andrew Chamberlain, chief economist at Glassdoor, said in a news release. “This is why we see several jobs within the technology and healthcare industries.”
