23 celebrities react to Carrie Fisher’s death, because they’re as shaken as we are
Horrible news struck today, just when we thought things would end up fine. Unfortunately, it’s been reported that Carrie Fisher has just passed away after suffering from a heart attack right before Christmas.
The statement was released to People by Simon Halls, a representative of the family, based on confirmation from Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd.
"It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning," the statement read.
Obviously this news is pretty devastating. Not only have we faced so many celebrity deaths this year, but Fisher is pretty much a legend. Most notable for the role of Princess Leia, she was a shining star in both the Star Wars universe, and the acting world.
