The night started off with a powerful medley performance by Kendrick Lamar featuring U2 and Dave Chapelle. And there was no shortage of emotional ballads throughout the night. Lady Gaga did a stunning rendition of “Joanne” and “Million Reasons,” Kesha made everyone tear up during “Praying,” Sir Elton John and Miley Cyrus did a beautiful job with “Tiny Dancer,” and Ben Platt knocked everyone’s socks off with “Somewhere.”
