All of 2015’s best music, turned into two epic mashups
We still have a month and a half left to go, but it’s safe to say that 2015 has been a pretty epic year for music. The music gods have been pretty kind to us; and from Adele’s “Hello” to Missy Elliott’s “WTF (Where They From),” 2015 was definitely the year of the comeback. Looking back, it’s hard to pick a favorite track — but why pick just one song that defined 2015 when you can put all of them together?
Since 2010, YouTube star Daniel Kim has been releasing an annual “Pop Danthology,” a mega-mashup of the year’s biggest hits in one digestible track. All of them have been quick to go viral (they’re catchy as heck) — and this year, Kim decided to grace the world with not one, but two new volumes. Unsurprisingly, both have us dancing at our desks.
“For the first time, I am releasing two Danthologies at once,” Kim explained on his website. “With music from all over the world becoming more and more accessible, it has become increasingly more challenging to satisfy my fans and fit in all of their many favorite songs in my year-end mashup.”
“I found myself cutting down so much of the original musical pieces just to ‘jam’ in as many songs as I could,” he continued. “Although making two Danthologies took a lot more time. . . I enjoyed the work much more and I feel like each Danthology has much better flow than Danthologies from previous years.”
We think the extra work paid off. Check them out for yourself below!
