In super sad news, “16 and Pregnant’s” Valerie Fairman has died, and our hearts are going out

We never, ever like to hear stories about people gone before their time, and we especially don’t like it when they leave loved ones behind. So it’s with heavy hearts that we report that 16 and Pregnant’s Valerie Fairman has died of an overdose at the age of 23. Valerie leaves behind her 7-year-old daughter, Nevaeh.
According to TMZ, Valerie was staying with friends in Pennsylvania when they became concerned that she hadn’t left the bathroom. They discovered her inside in what appeared to be an overdose — though toxicology reports have not yet confirmed the exact cause of death.
Fans of the show will remember that Valerie appeared on Season 2, and MTV has released the following statement:
"We are saddened by the news of Valerie Fairman's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time."

Our hearts are going out to all of Valerie’s friends and loved ones today, and we just seriously hope that everyone is doing okay. There never seems to be a silver lining when the world loses someone so young and to such tragic circumstances. If anything, it’s a reminder to squeeze our loved ones just a little tighter and to never take the people we care about for granted.
Sending so much love to the family. R.I.P Valerie.
