15-Year-Old Yulia Lipnitskaya Will Have You Believing In Magic

What were you doing when you were 15? If you were anything like me, your answer is something like “writing crappy poetry and listening to a LOT of Counting Crows”, but you know. Russian figure skater Yulia Lipnitskaya is giving us all a run for our money – among her numerous titles, she is the 2014 European champion, the 2013 Grand Prix Final silver medalist, and a two-time Russian national silver medalist… and that’s just to name a few.

Perhaps most importantly, she’s made it to the Sochi Olympics, where she’s poised to seal her status as a world-class skater. In fact, she won the gold metal in the team event – the second youngest skater in history to do so, and the youngest overall for her home country. No small feat, especially considering she hasn’t even reached her 16th birthday.

If you need more proof of how amazing Yulia Lipnitskaya is and you missed her brilliant performances so far in Sochi, have no fear – here’s her routine at the European Championships, which was so good, she brought it to the Olympics with her… and it paid off. AMAZING!
