Why yes, this is an 11-year-old Björk reciting the nativity story

Long before she changed the landscape of pop music with ethereal hits like “Possibly Maybe” and “All is Full of Love,” Björk was reciting Christmas folk lore (celebrities, #theyrejustlikeus!).

Video footage of an 11-year-old Björk has been making its rounds on the Internet today, and it’s nothing short of adorable. The video shows a young Björk reciting the nativity story, accompanied by her classmates from the Reykjavík Children’s Music School. Spoiler alert: her speaking voice HAS NOT CHANGED, making this video all the more intriguing.

Originally broadcast by RUV in 1976, the network decided to re-broadcast the program this year, hence the video’s recent web circulation.

Granted, the video is all in Icelandic, but who cares about language barriers when you have an 11-year-old Björk in front of you?
