According to a report from People, Prince Harry designed the ring himself, and we have to say he did an amazing job. He went with a three-stone arrangement, featuring a large diamond in the center flanked by two smaller side stones. The side stones pack a major emotional punch, as they reportedly came from the late Princess Diana’s personal collection.

Celebrity jeweler George Khalife shared some of his thoughts on the ring with HelloGiggles via email. “I would estimate Meghan’s ring to be roughly a 2.5 to 3 carat cushion cut diamond,” Khalife said. “Cushions are cut deep, so they appear even smaller than what they really are.” He continued:

"I would say the ring is valued at roughly $60,000, with the two side stones having belonged to Princess Diana, and the main stone coming from Botswana, a country close to Prince Harry’s heart. He and Meghan visited Africa this past summer, which included a visit to Botswana, which makes the ring all the more special."
