106-year-old Virginia McLaurin just did something she never thought possible: she visited the White House. As an African-American woman who grew up through the turmoil of the civil rights movement, not only did stepping foot in the White House once seem unthinkable, but meeting a black president? Completely out of the question.

But meet President Obama she did, and her visit was full of laughs, smiles, and dancing. Virginia’s energy is infectious, and President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle, who greeted her with open arms, couldn’t get enough.
