Here’s how to get $10,000 for your Instagram pics

Are your friends constantly saying to you “[Your name here], you’re SO good at Instagram, you take the greatest pictures and you never even have to use filters.” Well, you may actually be able to make some money for your Insta skills. A cool 10 K to be precise.

As TIME reports, Getty Images is launching a grant that will award 3 Instagram photographers $10,000 to users who document “underrepresented communities from around the world” through their accounts. Additionally, the winners will receive professional mentorship from Getty Images photographers and an exhibition at the Photoville festival in New York City this fall.

As Elodie Maillet Storm, the Getty Images’ senior director of content partnerships told TIME, the winners will be chosen on the basis of “focusing on the quality of their imagery, their photographic skills and on the projects and stories told through their photos.”

“We wanted to make sure that we reached communities that that are not necessarily being featured in mainstream media, not because their stories are not important but because they don’t have access to mainstream media,” Storm explained.

Getty Images has assembled a super-cool committee of judges, including TIME’s director of photography Kira Pollack, and Malin Fezehai, a photographer that won a World Press Photo journalism award for a shot she took on Instagram, featuring an Eritrean wedding.

“I know how hard it is to find support for work that might not be in the news,” Fezehai told TIME. “So I think this new award is a wonderful thing, especially for underrepresented communities.”

To apply, fill out the application over here by June 4th, and to encourage your shutterbug friends to apply, go to your favorite shot of their on Insta and comment with the hashtag #GettyImagesInstagramGrant.

May the (Instagram) odds be ever in your favor.
