10 trailers that debuted during the Super Bowl that we’re most excited for!

We saw passes and tackles, time outs and kind of political commercials. We saw Lady Gaga jump from the sky, and witnessed a historical overtime followed by a movie finish. But those weren’t the only big moments of Super Bowl 51.

We got peek after peek of some pretty epic-looking summer-blockbusters, in trailers that debuted during the commercial breaks.

One of the most creative and surprising trailers we’ve seen – it seems like a commercial at first, but then turns totally freaky.

2A Handmaid’s Tale

The teaser for this Hulu-original show builds on the first trailer, but focuses on the role of the Handmaids in a dystopian future.

3Baywatch

The least exciting trailer, critically-speaking, of the bunch, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t laugh. Totes apropos for the Super Bowl, the slow-mo jog and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson reacting to Zac Efron’s wardrobe had us in stitches.

4Ghost in the Shell

This trailer debuted three days ago, but it’s still buzz-worthy. Scarlett Johansson takes on a role, for better or worse, unlike any we’ve seen her in.

5Guardians of the Galaxy

An extended TV spot that ran like a mini-movie unto itself, we get to catch up with all the characters of the galactic action flick for which we CANNOT WAIT.

6Life

At 2:45 seconds, this trailer seemed as long as the pre-game show. We were like, are they gonna show us the whole movie right now? Not that we would have minded – it’s pretty intense. Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds facing Alien-style death and destruction in space looks riveting.

7Logan

The first R-rated X-Men film, this trailer is gritty and violent and an aged Hugh Jackman is so enticing. We’ve seen a lot of this footage in previous trailers, but we still love watching it.

8Pirates of the Caribbean

Johnny Depp returns as Jack Sparrow, and that’s not even the awesomest thing about this trailer. The special effects of the dead walking on water – oh, and an undead gull (eek) — are squeal-worthy.

9Stranger Things

Opening with a vintage Eggo Waffles commercial clip, we couldn’t even contain our frenzied excitement for what this trailer reveals. The hit Netflix show and its crew of misfit crime-fighters will return on Halloween.

10Transformers

The Transformers 5 trailer seems darker and moodier than the Michael Bay-directed bubble gum flicks of yore. But maybe that’s just because of Anthony Hopkins? Regardless, seems Bay may be going for a heavier tone with this one, and we’re intrigued.
