10 Signs Santa Claus is Coming To Town
Like the classic Christmas song ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ says, Santa Claus is, well, coming to town. But when will he arrive?! Well, he always enters your home on Christmas Eve when you are asleep. Is that creepy? Sure! But he just wants to spread cheer so don’t worry about it. If you don’t have a calendar or refuse to check your phone, knowing when it’s Christmas Eve can be difficult. Fear not! Here are 10 obvious signs of Santa’s arrival.
1. Everyone is watching out.
The first piece of advice Santa Claus is Coming to Town gives us is that we “better watch out.” You’ll know Santa is near if everyone around you is being very careful of what they do or say. You might think “Hey why is everyone peering over their shoulders like they are being followed?” Well it’s because in a way, Santa follows all of us.
2. No one is crying.
The second piece of advice from ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ is that we “better not cry.” (Note: the best place to get advice from is song!) You may notice that between all of the peering over one’s shoulder, all eyes are dry.
3. No one is pouting.
The best part about Christmas is that no one pouts ever. Everyone is thankful and smiling.
4. People are being good (for goodness sake).
Many people choose to be extra kind and giving during the holiday season. It’s actually really nice and makes me tear up a little.
5. You feel like you are being watched while you are sleeping.
It can be uncomfortable at first because you never wanted anyone to know how much you drool in your sleep (we all do, don’t worry) but you will get used to it.
6. You’ll get a text from Santa that says “U up?”
Not in a creepy way, just in a “I see you when you’re sleeping. I know when you are awake” kind of way.
7. Mom will make you clean the guest bathroom because company is coming over.
Ugh, typical Mom. Always asking for help when she feels overwhelmed around the holidays. BOOORING.
8. According to Santa Tracker, he’s close.
One of the best ways to know if someone is coming to town is by knowing their current location.
9. You feel judged and categorized into a list that simplifies behavior as if it is all black and white or naughty and nice.
One of Santa’s most charming qualities is that he judges all of his friends and then gives them gifts based on their ranking. He’s a nice guy though, don’t get me wrong.
And finally, the easiest way to know if Santa is coming to town:
10. Santa will text you OMW.
