Looks like Hugh Jackman is sticking with those Wolverine sideburns for a while, and has convinced Zac Efron to join him. Entertainment Weekly has just shared the first photos from the set of their new musical The Greatest Showman, and Hugh and Zac are both sporting some bold sideburns. Of course, that’s not all. Photos from the upcoming musical film look like they had a ball on set telling the story of P.T. Barnum.
P.T. Barnum is often called “the godfather of the modern circus“ and now he’s getting his very own movie musical! In the film, Jackman plays P.T. and the delightful Michelle Williams plays his wife, Charity. The film will follow the life of P.T. Barnum from child to successful showman. Of course, Zac Efron joins him — doubling the number of awesome sideburns.
Also, totes digging those outfits guys! The Greatest Showman takes place throughout the 1800s, but don’t worry, the music will make it feel relevant and current. Hugh Jackman told EW about the importance of the musical being accessible for a younger audience:
“We were clear from the beginning that this wouldn’t feel like a period movie or a historical piece. What would Barnum do now? I have an almost-12-year-old daughter. I wanted [the movie] to be as exciting for her as listening to Katy Perry’s new song.”
The Greatest Showman also stars Zendaya so you know it’s going to sound amazing. Check out more photos from the film on EW.com, because The Greatest Showman won’t be in theaters until Christmas. But just remember that you’ll be spending your Christmas with Zac and Hugh (singing!!) to get through the months.
