CUTENESS Winnie The Pooh is A Friend of All of Ours Rivka Rossi

Winnie The Pooh will be hitting theatres this weekend. Sure, everyone keeps talking about the final Harry Potter and that’s great, but can we not forget our favorite “little tubby all stuffed with honey”, Winnie The Pooh?

Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward made some sweet music for the film, a new song ‘So Long’ as well as the theme song, ‘Winnie the Pooh’. It melts my heart and surely will melt yours. What’s Winnie the Pooh about? Friendship! What is life about? Friendship! Childhood loves should always stay as sweet as this!

Thank you She & Him and most of all, thank you Winnie the Pooh for showing me how sweet life is when you have good friendships and honey.

  1. I can’t wait to see it! I’m glad it has all the classic characters and that it doesn’t look so “new” that it takes away from the original. She & Him + Winnie? My two favorites in one movie. Perfect!

  2. I saw the movie. I am awed at what a cartoon, with such a simple storyline was able to evoke from it’s viewers. There were people of all ages and walks of life in the theatre, but we were all laughing and aweing at the same things- Simple and clean things. It was definitely a refreshing flick!

And the music was lovely! <3

  3. I’m stoked for Winnie the Pooh. If it weren’t for Carmaggedon, I’d totally go out and see it. But alas, my movie buddy is cut off from me due to evil Carmageddon. Still excited to see it, though

  4. Love the music! Don’t you just want more She & Him? I mean, c’mon!

  5. We love Pooh…and we love She & Him.

  6. I saw Harry Potter last night and I’m waiting for the Harry Potter lines to die down before I go see Winnie the Pooh. I’m psyched to see it! I’ve loved Winnie since I was little and I also have a book of the original Winnie the Pooh stories. I’m really excited to hear Zooey singing in the movie! (:

  7. Already saw Harry Potter now I’m ready for Winnie the Pooh. Dragging my husband to go see it as well.

  8. Who doesn’t love Zooey Deschanel? Don’t U justa wanna hug Zooey?

  9. Mega talented, that one.

  10. I’m going for the old double feature. Winnie and Harry!

  11. I’m SOOOOOO Excited! I have such LOVE for Winnie the Pooh and gang! I cant wait to see this!

  12. I’m terribly sorry but the song actually goes: “Chubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff…”.

  13. My family is on vacation…its raining on the island….we can’t decide to see Harry Potter or Pooh. I used this video as leverage….
Thanks, She & Him for helping Pooh win by a longshot.

I can’t wait to see it!

  14. I am SO glad that the winnie the pooh frachise is pretty much the only childrens franchise that hasn’t fallen from its humbly-bumbly roots! Their stories/films are still just as sincere and beautiful as their first one (which I hold onto and cherish with pure sentimentality) Can’t wait to see this. And with music that I feel equally as connected with! :D

  15. My 3 year old niece is coming to stay with us for the weekend. I am so thrilled I get to take her to see this movie. I have loved Winnie my whole life. My nickname since birth from my parents is Poohdie. It just makes me so happy that their adventures are timeless!

  16. I cannot wait to see this!! Dave White, my favorite film critic, wrote a lovely review of the film. This part particularly made me want to see this film – “The world of Winnie the Pooh and the Hundred Acre Wood is a quiet, gentle, kind, generous place. In other words, it’s the exact opposite of every single other children’s film or TV show in existence in the year 2011. Nobody brawls, nobody farts, nobody has a sassy mouth, a bad attitude, a mean spirit, a working definition of sarcasm or any connection to edgy adult humor. And that makes this 68-minute feature the most daring, adventurous, bold, pitch-perfect animated movie of the year.” I can’t wait to see it! The song is super cute, too.

  17. Hey there, why not open textlinks in new windows? I do love the song by the way.

  18. Love the music for the film! It’s super cute and it really fits the Winnie the Pooh film. I think they (Zooey & M. Ward) really succeeded in making this song easy to listen to for all generations. But I’m probably pretty biased in my opinion. I need to take my nephew and niece to this movie. Pass the Winnie the Pooh love on to the next generation :-)
