SOCIAL STUDIES Weekly Forum Chit Chat
Chrissa Hardy

Dear Readers,

If you didn’t already know, we adore you. We love you THHIISSS much (insert mental image of a giant hugging the world here).  A vital expression of that love, is keeping you informed of all things fun, creative and giggle-related.  Several months ago, we added the HelloGiggles Forum to our site as a place for all of you to get to know each other and discuss whatever your little hearts desire.  This piece will be a weekly review of the Forum’s latest haps and chatter.  That way, when you are ready to join the conversation, you will be completely up to speed.

One of the biggest trending topics we’ve seen in the Forum is starting a book club.  We’ve had several smaller groups get together and discuss certain books, but we would love to see a larger, more structured club that stays together and goes through multiple reads.

Sidebar- I totally want in!

If you are looking to share your opinions on books that are currently taking up prime real estate on your coffee table, this may be the place.  The books that have already been discussed in the Forum are The Magician, The Hunger Games Trilogy (of course), The Paris Wife, and quite a few others.  What are YOU reading?  Let’s all hit the bestseller lists and pick our lineup!

I want to join a book club

I have been obsessed with books lately. I just feel so studious when I’m reading. I just finished the Hunger Games and absolutely loved it. I really want to be in a book club. Does anyone do that anymore?

Answer: Yes, let’s do this thing!

Sincerely,

Chrissa & The HelloGiggles Team

  3. P.S. to find an IRL book club, try meetup.org – you can search for them in your area. That’s how I found mine

  4. have you guys tried Goodreads yet? not a book club, but great for readers. http://www.goodreads.com

  5. It was so fun when we read The Magicians!
