Ever have one of those days when you just don’t feel comfortable in your own skin? Us, too. And it turns out that even the most fabulous, wealthy, and conventionally beautiful among us also feel that way from time to time. In a candid letter to her 18-year-old self, Victoria Beckham opened up about the course of her life, including her body insecurities, and we highly recommend you read it — it will almost certainly help to ease some of your own personal wounds.

The letter, published this week by British Vogue, is sweet, reflective, and packed with advice we can all use. Things like, “My 60-year-old self would probably say the same thing to me as I am telling you now: enjoy yourself a little more. Be less image-conscious. Learn to relax” and “Let your skin breathe; wear less make-up. (And don’t ever let that make-up artist shave your eyebrows! The effects last forever.)”

Among the most honest bits of information in the letter is this, on breast insecurity:

“And I should probably say, don’t mess with your boobs. All those years I denied it — stupid. A sign of insecurity. Just celebrate what you’ve got.”
