Now, I hate flying on planes because I get really motion sick, so of course when I have to travel it isn’t that fun. I’m working on getting into it. Here are some of the things I’ve noticed lately:
1. For some reason, the airport is full of people who are in a hurry and they act crazy. IGNORE AND WALK AWAY. All I can say.
2. NEVER over-pack. I mean, you have to lug your bag all over the airport, so why make your bag full of stuff which will make it really heavy? Am I right? So when you pack, try to keep it simple. Pack what you need for the amount of days you are going to be gone. Or else you look like the crazy one dragging a super heavy carry-on all over the place.
3. Never give the stink-eye or sass your fellow passengers on the flight. MOM!
4. Don’t pay, like, 10 dollars for the not-free Internet at the airport or on the plane. Can’t you wait a couple of hours?!
5. Don’t start talking to the person next to you. Once you start, they won’t stop talking!
6. Bring something to do at the airport/on the plane. You could bring a book, an iPod, laptop, anything! It is SOOOOO boring otherwise. I wish I could fly JetBlue all the time; you get your own TV screen on the plane!
7. Make sure you get the window seat. Adults always have to climb over you to go to the bathroom.
8. Avoid the fast food at the airport. I don’t know about you, but it makes my stomach so queasy!
9. Do you ever notice how cranky people are at the airport? My god.
10. Bring your own snacks because plane food sucks.
That’s it for now. Check out my blog if you get a chance or holla at me on Twitter!

Have you ever thought about which includes a tad bit more than just your articles or blog posts? I necessarily mean, what you say is very important and every thing.
Hey Ruby !!! Great advices, really practical and funny.
over the summer my tweleve year old sister and I flew to Colombia to visit our grandparents. that’s a six hour flight. on top of that, a lady with a 5 month old baby decided to change her baby on those tray table things… ew. and our plane was stuck on the runway thing for nearly four hours. I have decided to boycott planes.
I don’t agree on point nº5…I once made a friend in the plane..I was travelling alone so it was nice to have someone to talk to for a change!
Oh I’m one of those people in your number 5. Guess you wouldn’t want to sit next to me on a plain… It’s okay, I understand; I’ll not put you in my black list because I think that plane food sucks, too!
I get motion sickness on planes too, but I love to travel so I just learnt to deal with it – you kind of have to if you live in Australia and want to travel because flying overseas takes at least 3.5hrs and then it’s just to New Zealand.
You’re right about plane food – it does suck. I always ask for a special meal (fruit platter) when I fly coz the smell of the hot food just makes me feel queasy. I can’t even read or watch the movies on the plane because it makes me feel sick – my Ipod is my best friend on long plane trips.
I do hope you’ll learn to love travel though – there is so much to see and learn about out there!
