Between them, Mark Foster and Kimbra are all over two of the most annoyingly ubiquitous songs in existence (Pumped Up Kicks and Somebody I Used To Know, respectively). It only makes sense that their union would result in another utterly catch pop song. Warrior, however, has an anthemic, get on your feet and Lucha-Va-Voom your way to awesomeness vibe that the other two songs lack. Also, Kimbra is stunning. She has lips for days, beautifully applied lipstick, and her hair falls into a perfectly coiffed bob that would make Veronica jealous. Not that that bears weight on her music, but worth mentioning. Also, Converse. Love the shoes, love music, dig Journeys, free downloads, free love! And A-Trak. So much collabo effort here. Mad love for the maple leaf. Although not as much as if it were a Drake cameo, but a girl can dream. This song isn’t new out of the box, but it’s got mad summertime staying power. Which is all that counts if you ask me. Which you did…n’t.
