Over the summer, I got really into that TLC show Toddlers and Tiaras. It’s crazy to me how far some of these parents will go to get their children to win pageants. With the over-the-top dresses, big hair and makeup, it is clear that some have taken it a little too far.

So for today’s gallery, I decided to highlight some of the more extreme examples. Of course these children are adorable, but I definitely think there should be a minimum age for hair extensions, fake eyelashes and spray tanner. And that minimum age should be way more than five.

Speaking from someone involved in the pageant world, I gotta speak up. These are all from “Glitz” pageants. They’re way overdone. And the ones with the baby and the “glass eyes”…. it is ALL Photoshop. They don’t put those on the kids for the photos. I did Glamour pageants. They’re so much classier. They’re like the Miss America pageants, but with zero swimsuit competitions. The ones we participated in, you couldn’t have dresses showing your knees, you had no bikinis, or otherwise skimpy wear. They were what you don’t see on TV. And it helps pay for college. Winning scholarships. People just only see this side of it, because that’s the part that makes ratings.

This is disturbing. I think a DA or at least Social Service should intervene and STOP this thing!
How can dressing up 5-year-olds like whores and throwing them in a reality show be OK? They are children, for crying out loud! This is sick!!

A few of those seem like they’re photoshopped. The skin seems airbrushed.

They are INSANELY Photoshopped, they make a point to airbrush them to look like dolls. It’s sooooo creepy.

I feel like any of these photos could be used on the movie poster for a remake of The Bad Seed.
