This Week, Let's Get Excited for The Mindy Project

I don’t know about you, but I am so excited for The Mindy Project on FOX this fall!

I wish I was more eloquent and able to put my burgeoning love for this show into coherent sentences. However, all I can really manage is, “OMG! <3 <3 <3!”

I haven’t even seen an episode, but I just know that I’m going to love The Mindy Project. Seeing as I have excellent taste in all things related to entertainment, I’m sure that it’s going to be good. How can it not be? There’s a Michael Fassbender (hugs and butterfly kisses for him, all the time) reference within the first minute of the preview trailer. Mindy Kaling just gets it. And, oh my God, Ed Helms and Bill Hader are going to be in it to! In the words of the always glam Rachel Zoe: I die.

Besides the fact that this show is going to be hilarious, I have a special place in my heart for Mindy Kaling. Have you guys read her memoir Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)? If not, you should, because it’s the best.

I related to a lot of Mindy Kaling’s book. Well, you know, as far as her childhood, teen years and college life go (except I didn’t go to an Ivy…I went to a research university and did tons of nerdy things). I have yet to be super successful like she is, but I’m working on it. Mindy Kaling grew up into a cool adult with an awesome job and, as we all know, all I want in this world is to be a success.

Picture of Success

My point here is that The Mindy Project is going to be awesome, and these are my predictions of what’s going to happen to the World this fall when it premieres:

1. All of us are going to want to grow our hair really long so that it can look as gorgeous as Mindy’s. Seriously, I’m so jealous. I recently had one of those trims where the hair stylist actually cut off like three inches of hair…my Rapunzel hair is gone.

2. Sequins.

3. “I’m basically a vegetarian, for moral reasons. I mean, I eat eggs and fish and hamburgers…never steak. ” (The Mindy Project.)

4. Mindy’s character is an OB/GYN. I hoping for a spike in med school applications. Also, I’m just going to point out that it’s awesome that she’s a doctor in the show because I’m bored of female leads being like…interior designers (which is an awesome job, but how many can there possibly be?).

I basically went on a Facebook rampage after the trailer for The Mindy Project was released. I had to share it with everyone. Why the hell not, right?

Get excited, everyone. What other shows are you excited for in the fall?

Also, if for whatever reason the Mindy Kaling ever reads this: I don’t even know…that’s a mortifying thought. Hi?
