I kind of like that the site isn’t too political.

    • http://www.facebook.com/msfrancesXO Frances Vasquez

      i agree with Mackenzie.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=65800494 Meredith Bagdazian

Yes! Let’s keep politics out. Especially since it’s an election year and things get really heated.

    • http://www.facebook.com/zelina Zelina Garza

      I agree

    • http://www.facebook.com/taylor.coil Taylor Coil

Agree! I don’t want this wonderful community to be split over politics.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=12450612 Alexandra Coleman

Definitely agree! We get our fill of political headaches everywhere else, I like that HG is a sanctuary from all that.

  • http://www.facebook.com/murmeltearding Kati Ber

I loooove the social studies (single girls guide and that other stuff ^^) More of those please! 😀

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000491408580 Angie Carr

Please no politics – that can ruin a great friendship instantly. We get enough (bad) news from other places. I love you guys because you make me laugh!

  • http://www.facebook.com/omegah Omega House

pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease no news or politics – there are other sites for that, and that is not what we come to HelloGiggles for!

  • http://www.facebook.com/neveragain329 Carina Brown

I agree with Mackenzie… hellogiggles is a safe haven from the news and politics we can get everywhere else. A place of wit, whimsy, and humor. I personally hope it stays light and carefree, and doesn’t get bogged down with heavy news pieces.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=284800648 Minu Ferdows

I disagree, as a place that is championing women in comedy, literature and more, why not shine the light on female politicians, campaigners etc?

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=533925224 Michelle Truong

I agree…I would love to see more of politics/news centered around women in order to learn more about current events, and I think with the super creative and entertaining contributors HelloGiggles is able to attract, the writers can come up with something different than “what’s out there” – something funny, witty, entertaining yet educational about politics + issues. Women are changing the world right??!

    • http://www.facebook.com/kaliska47 Erin Miuccio

I agree! I think it would be great to post pieces that have to do with current events from the perspective of how it can effect women. It is not hard to list the facts in a politically neutral positions. Better to get access to the information than to remain ignorant to it.

  • http://www.facebook.com/lisrmiller Elisabeth Miller

I’d love to see some more posts related to feminism (although a lot of the articles do include it by way of the content). I miss Misogynist Soup :(

    • http://www.facebook.com/valerie.huerta1 Valerie Yvonne Huerta

Yeah what happened to misogynist soup? It was my fav. More commentary on current events, please. Also, I enjoyed the creative DIY pieces. Miss the inspirational and thoughtful content.

  • http://www.facebook.com/kmaverick Kristin Maverick

I would love some health stuff—like fun fitness attire, cool gadgets, etc…

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=185000598 Jen Georgeff

I agree totally! I need some more motivation to be more active during the winter months especially.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1441020913 Emily Hopkins

Definitely agree!! Exercises/healthy recipes would be a great addition to the site.

I’d love to hear more tales from people married in their 20s. I am 28 and married, and yeah, there are some sites out there that I can kind of relate to. But I yearn for a more humorous approach… mostly because people who are young and married carry this stigma — that they ‘settled down too early’ and somehow became humorless and boring in the process. This is so NOT true. Not all married couples are like this. In fact, I find myself to be the very opposite of boring. I sang karaoke wearing a dick suit AFTER I got married, ppl. My weird didn’t go away the day I said “I do”. It got FUELED. And dammit, I want to tell people I’m married without worrying they’ll write me off as a milk toast housewife with no ambitions in life.

    • http://www.facebook.com/mackenzie.barrow Mackenzie Barrow Warren

24 and married. would love to read about/contribute to that topic!

    • http://www.facebook.com/ashley.lynn.cook Ashley Lynn Cook

      Married at 23 (husband was 25) now I’m 25 and he’s 28. :-)

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=513458955 Kaitlyn Shore

I want to read about karaoke in a dick suit!

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=284800648 Minu Ferdows

Britt I’d love to see you become a HelloGiggles contributor esp on this topic! I loved your Bowie Bride blog! X

  • http://www.facebook.com/Kaitlinfritz Kaitlin Marie Fritz

@Brittany I like that idea too, I’m 26 and getting married in three months… I would love having modern housewife posts, cute ideas for decorating your home, etc… but I don’t think there is much of a stigma of people getting married after 25, the average age for women to get married in the states is 27… but still, some people give married life a bad rep- I totally agree!

  • http://www.facebook.com/Kaitlinfritz Kaitlin Marie Fritz

Also, I love the ideas for book reviews and DIY projects <3

  • http://www.facebook.com/sarahkateneunzig Sarah Kate Neunzig

I would LOVE a mobile site for my iPhone! I am on that most of the time and would really enjoy reading easily from anywhere!

  • http://www.facebook.com/juliafellows Julia Fellows

I’d like to see a bit more with fashion, too!

  • http://www.facebook.com/tiffany.dersam Tiffany N. Dersam

gluten free recipes! I say this because I know at least one of you on the team is GF a likes to bake/cook , I assume there are others?? I am GF and would love to see some yummy recipes I can make

    • http://carrie-murphy.com/ Carrie Murphy

hey tiffany! i do EAT OF THE MOMENT and most of my recipes are gluten-free, but not all. i eat mainly GF so i will certainly keep the GF stuff coming.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=636186651 Clare Bamford

Yes yes yes! Totally agree! I actually sent a message to hellogiggles about this back in the summer, and would love to see it happen. There are so many people who are celiac and gluten intolerant out there now days that it would be fantastic for us to have more gluten free recipes. Pleeeeease consider this!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1568077529 Megan Miolla

I love the site as is but there needs to be more funniness! Or like more animal stuff cause I’m a huge animal person. But I love the site more and more everyday. Please no politics or news though. It makes the site to serious

  • http://www.facebook.com/grapefriend Grape Friend

I love the single girls perspectives. I agree with most of the comments – I wouldn’t get too much into politics or news. My suggestion, though, would be slightly better site navigation. That’s it for now – love the site and the tone! So fun.

  • http://www.facebook.com/lindsey.villanueva Lindsey Lee Taylor

    Health/recipes-guilty and not/fitness.
Feel good for you stuff not ugh, that bitch already looks amazing I can’t do that. Real girl stuff.

  • http://www.facebook.com/kaliska47 Erin Miuccio

I would love to see more posts about current events, science and tech, and Home/DIY projects from the women’s perspective!!!
The posts about beauty, food and stars can be entertaining, but honestly, that stuff gets pushed at us everywhere. I started reading HelloGiggles, because I liked the articles about women who weren’t afraid to make a difference.
Also, the single girl’s stuff is great, but not all of us are single, or may not be for long. :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/melimelomelodie Mélodie Melo

No politics ! It would ruins everything ! But a HelloGiggles book club would be so amazing ! Also it would be awesome to have writing class from the authors, because it’s always so much fun to read their posts. :)
Book reviews would be definitely awesome. And also I would be cool if we saw more distinctively the chronicles like “single girls guide” or other because I’m already a huge fan of some of them, and I don’t want to miss any new post.
Anyway, I love the site ! I’m already promoting it in France :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/katiekay.snoad Katie Kay Snoad

I would love to see helpful dressing tips for the short, big boobed sort of girl. Being 5 foot with a sizable rack it is super hard to find flattering clothes that aren’t tees. I love your site! It is awesome to see so many people, men and women contribute to comedy, life, and other such topics. Keep up the amazing work ladies!
