Wow! I must admit I absolutely did not believe the stories coming out about why Hiliary wasn’t testifying. The timing was just all wrong. WHO CARES ABOUT THE “TIMING” OR WHATEVER. IF SOMEONE IS ILL, THEY ARE ILL!!! ITS CLEARLY AN ATTACK ON THE DEMOCRAT PARTY AS WELL AS BEING A WOMAN IN POLITICS IN MY OPINION. SHE IS A POWERFUL WOMAN, AND THEY SHOULD BE AFRAID OF WHAT GREAT WONDERFUL THINGS SHE CAN ACCOMPLISH IN SOCIETY. THEYRE JUST LOOKING FOR A WAY TO KNOCK HER DOWN, LIKE HOW THEY GOT AT BILL WHEN HE WAS VULNERABLE DUE TO HIS MOTHER BEING ILL.
CLEARLY, SENDING OUT TWEETS OF “WE HOPE YOU GET WELL SOON” OR “KEEP US UPDATED ON HER HEALTH STATUS OUR THOUGHTS GO OUT TO YOU AND FAMILY” WAS NO WHERE ON THEIR RADAR. ITS AMAZING HOW KINDESS IS A RARITY AND YET IT SHOULD BE THE FIRST THING HANDED OUT.

I agree; it’s disgusting. I firstly wonder if they would do the same thing to a male politician. Let’s play the “females are dainty, weak whiners” because that’s super original. Heaven forbid we actually have to assess a woman on her skills and service (as you mentioned) instead of undermining her as a human being.

I really think this is because she’s a woman. If a man in her position had sustained a concussion, I don’t think there would be talk about him using it as a means of getting out of testifying.

Yes, I understand what conservatives thought, but I PERSONALLY do not find it appropriate to question someone’s health, nor do I find it appropriate to use the word “convenient” when referring to an issue that could lead to death. Was she supposed to ignore the concussion, the blood clot, and anything revolving around it to save face and look tough? She still has to testify, so she clearly was not trying to “get out” of anything.

“I do not need to fact check it to believe its authenticity.”–you should always fact check. News sources get things wrong all the time. Even the NY times! As we’ve seen with former NY Times Journalist Jayson Blair: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jayson_Blair, and then the run-of-the mill-fact errors that happen all the time in all newspapers no matter how prestigious. I’m not saying the Clinton report was a fact error but that they do happen.

Also, a lot of conservatives just felt that the timing of her concussion was very convenient considering Benghazi was an incredible failure of the her department. And reports show that the state department knew before hand that this was not the result of a “spontaneous demonstration against a YouTube video” but in fact a planned terrorist action., and yet they still told the media that it was all about a YouTube video. I would be more inclined to believe Hillary Clinton if she and her department would be more forthcoming about why 4 people died on their watch. That said I don’t believe she lied about a concussion and I would believe her if she tells congress why the state department failed to put extra security at the Benghazi consulate when Ambassador Chris Stevens requested it.

Unfortunately haters will hate. What bums be out even more is that, sadly, this kind of article will never be written from the opposite side of the aisle. While I love this site, I wish I there was a more balanced dialogue.
