Are you guys excited about the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises this weekend? I can’t wait! I bet there are a ton of people dressing up for the midnight showing. Although I will not be one of them, I really appreciate their dedication. I’m not ashamed or embarrassed to admit that I attended the midnight screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 last summer dressed as Harry Potter. So, I completely understand the need and desire one has to go to a movie in costume.
In order to honor those that are dressing up, I’ve decided to display some adults, kids and animals dressed in their Batman best. Some look adorable and heroic while others look a less so. Have you guys ever dressed up for a movie premiere?
I fear the first photo is my future. Everyone always worries “I tried to get my son into sports but he just wants to sit around with his silly magazine and comterizsd games.” What happens when you want them to join the nerd force and they break your heart one day with “Mommy, Batman is a big stupid head”?
AMC theaters and others are announcing costume bans as a result of the Aurora shootings today. People may never be able to dress up for a movie premiere again.
