In a world as fleeting and ADD as the Twitter-verse, even clicking the yellow star on a witty 140-character statement adds only temporary love. Enter creative genius, Maritza Lugo. Maritza adds an illustration to her favorite tweets, thus giving them life. Life that is beautiful and unbelievably rad.
We’ve had a year filled with incredible Illustrated Tweets and we would feature every single one if we thought they would fit. For now, we’ve decided to share the best of the best. These were the most shared, viewed, liked and tweeted tweets of the year.
Thanks to Maritza, and thanks to our readers for loving them as much as we do.
Enjoy!

True Story: The hotel I’m at right now doesn’t have a coffee maker in the room so I went out and bought a cheap coffee maker to get me through the next few days. How do they expect me to wake up? They were all like “we have complimentary coffee at breakfast,” but HOW am I supposed to get to breakfast without my coffee? It’s madness.
…I relate a little too much to all of these. But that’s a good thing, right.
Thanks for liking my tweet as number 10 in connection with Maritza’s wonderful work!
lolz lucky for you fictional divorces go so smooth! Though still not as smooth as the fictional person themselves! total dreamboats… (talk to me when you add science to the equation. actually don’t)
I hope so I’m going to keep aiming higher and higher on the fictional foodchain $$ of people to marry.
