So, Halloween is only two days away, and due to the fact that you live an awesome life and have been super busy watching Grey’s Anatomy and reading HelloGiggles, you’ve totally forgotten to get an outfit. Well, calm down! It’s not too late. Here’s a super easy and completely awesome DIY Bird Costume; it’s very cheep (excuse the bad pun), takes about 5 minuites and will brighten up every Halloween party (or if you haven’t been invited to a Halloween party, it will brighten up the couch while you watch scary movies and eat popcorn).
Step One – Gather your supplies – all the supplies are very cheap and easy to buy. In fact, you probably have most of them around the house, just make sure you don’t use real bird feathers!
A glue gun will work best but any normal craft glue will work fine, as well.
Step Two - Using your glue gun, make big dots of glue along the base of your tiara and the top of the glasses. Stick the base of your feathers into the glue, making sure they stick to the glue and stand up straight. Remember – you can never have too many feathers, so really pile them on.
Step Three - While you are waiting for the glue to dry, paint your nails multi-coloured to polish off your tropical bird look.
Step Four - Search through your cupboard to find the most crazy and colourful clothes you own. Tutus and feather boas will work best, but if you’re a normal person and don’t own any of these, a pretty colourful dress will work great as well.
Step Five - Pop the tiara on your head, the glasses on your nose, the tutu on your bum and your Halloween costume is done, now you can get back to stuffing your face with Halloween candy and pretending that you’re watching Saw when you’re actually watching Mean Girls.
