Sweet & Spicy PepitasMelissa Mogel

Very addicting. Cinnamon, sugar, chili pepper, cumin, paprika all mixed with one frothy egg white.  Simple.

Bake 350 for 15-20 mins. Watch them so they don’t burn… Let cool. Try not to eat them all – they are gifts, remember.

Distribute into glass canisters, small mason jars, etc and tie with ribbon or string and add a small card!

You need:
1 bag raw pepitas (Trader Joe’s)
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon, chili pepper, cumin
Add more chili for more heat.
1 egg white (whipped til frothy)
Big bowl to combine all ingredients
Mason jars (Container Store, BB&Beyond)
Ribbon (Paper Source)
Small card (Paper Source)

    one bag is 16oz…so a pound, i tried it with sunflower seeds and pecans, just as delicious! :)

    i don’t have a trader joe’s in my state (tragic, i know). if i’m buying my pepitas in bulk, how much should i get?
