travel handbag! sturdy quality material with lots of zips and pockets, valubles in the main bit, money - some in your purse/wallet, some in a paper/card money wallet you get from the money exchange place just incase someone pick pockets, they'll go for the purse/wallet rather than just some paper. Make plans before you leave the hotel each day but youll also spot something while out too but a plan helps. And just be aware of who is around you and where your bag is! ( I have bags that swing behind me and I have to pull them forward again, no good when travelling!).

LOVE this article, such good advise!! I move frequently and have started taking these precautions myself. I moved to New Haven, CT last year which is one of the top 4 most dangerous cities in America and I had to study what neighborhoods were crap and which were okay. It really limited the area I could roam but I'm glad I did it!
