Wow! What is that with the weird guys standing around in front of the Louvre? A couple of years ago, almost the exact same thing you mentioned happened to me… it was creepy!!

travel handbag! sturdy quality material with lots of zips and pockets, valubles in the main bit, money – some in your purse/wallet, some in a paper/card money wallet you get from the money exchange place just incase someone pick pockets, they’ll go for the purse/wallet rather than just some paper. Make plans before you leave the hotel each day but youll also spot something while out too but a plan helps. And just be aware of who is around you and where your bag is! ( I have bags that swing behind me and I have to pull them forward again, no good when travelling!).

LOVE this article, such good advise!! I move frequently and have started taking these precautions myself. I moved to New Haven, CT last year which is one of the top 4 most dangerous cities in America and I had to study what neighborhoods were crap and which were okay. It really limited the area I could roam but I’m glad I did it!
