Sparkling Berrier Perrier Slushes Diets In Review

Summer is all about splashin’ and sippin’. It’s best if you can do these together, but the hope is that you’re always doing at least one.

The problem with our summer sips is that each one is so loaded in calories and sugar that it makes our efforts to stay bikini-fit all the more difficult. Mixed drinks like margaritas and daiquiris, lemonades, soda, and even beer are chock-full of empty calories, or calories that provide absolutely no nutritional value.

Like you, we wanted to sip, and splash, and have not a care in the world. So we came up with a slushy that has a whopping 49 calories! The Sparkling Berrier Perrier Slush has frozen berries and flavored Perrier blended together for a frosty, sweet treat that has zero guilt. Have one, have three, you’ll still come in at almost the same calories of a full-calorie beer and far less than any other frozen beverage.

With berries at the peek of season, you should take every excuse in the world to enjoy these sweet little juicy nuggets of summer goodness. We combined strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries and froze them, eliminating the need for ice cubes (this is a great tip for making homemade smoothies, too). Then we added grapefruit Perrier, one of the sparkling water’s newest flavors. We didn’t add any sweetener, but you could if you wanted to. Truvia is natural and would add zero calories to this fizzy drink.

Once combined in the blender we gave it a little pulse and the recipe served four people. Frosty glasses are fitting, of course, and so is a cute straw or umbrella.

These are perfect for cooling any summer day, can certainly be “doctored” if you’re not too worried about the calories, or left as-is for even the youngest at your pool party.
