Let’s get this out of the way: I’m a soup person. I can eat soup anytime and anywhere. There’s one diner in New Jersey that I frequent solely because each meal comes with a free cup of soup – even though the entrees are somewhat overpriced. (Yes, you heard me right. I’m paying to support the concept. The diner is pretty much saying, “every meal is better with soup” and I’m down with that.) Want me to tell you the story of when my apartment had no air conditioning in the summer and I chose to make hot soup for lunch? It was delicious torture and I’d do it again!
Of course, soup is kind of a tough on-the-go food, which is why my TGIF Treat this week is Campbell’s Soup At Hand – especially since I’ve finally learned how to master having it not tip over and spill in the microwave. (So many mini-round noodles parted from this earth the wrong way, minutes too soon.)
Soup At Hands are especially convenient at work – if you get tired of carrying around granola bars, Soup At Hand is definitely a more fulfilling portable snack. Plus, based on its packaging, you can easily keep it at your desk and avoid any kind of crumbly mess. So not only will you not be starving at five, your coworkers will appreciate the fact that you can properly maintain your work space. Win-Win!
Soup at Hand also comes in a bunch of different varieties, so it’s tough to get bored of them. I can vouch for the Cream of Broccoli, Classic Tomato, Creamy Tomato and Vegetable with Mini Round Noodles and let me tell you – they’re all delicious.
Now, here’s where you can figure out how lazy I am: It’s amazing to be able to have soup and avoid cooking it on a stovetop. No stirring (only shaking, pre-microwave), no dishes to wash and instant soup satisfaction. Plus, being able to drink a soup is kind of liberating. What has the spoon done for you recently?
Since summer is days away from officially being over, we should embrace the beginning of soup season. I’d love to hear from my fellow soup fanatics about your favorite kind – especially if you’re also a believer of portable soup!

Greetings, I relish your short article. This is a cool blog and I needed to publish a comment to inform you, awesome job!
What is the secret to get it to not tip over?
Creamy Tomato Parmesean Bisque is the best!!!
tortellini in chicken broth with a dash of red pepper flakes ( i love SpIceY SOUP)
i can eat soup every day!!! cream of turkey is my second fave!!
I had mega jaw surgery a year ago and my jaw was wired shut for over a month. Soup at Hand was a life-saver. I probably would have starved had it not been for tomato soup and Carnation instant breakfast.
I had Campbell’s Soup at Hand- Creamy Tomato with a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch today! It was like being a five-year-old all over again, amazing. I also found out that Lays bakes chips are wonderful when dipped in said creamy tomato soup.
all of these fun new products don’t seem to be where I live and it makes it all the more exciting I suppose when I go back to the states and discover the new inventions people have thought up. but yeah, I wish I had some soup at hand.
I love soup! Homemade chicken noodle with some wildrice is the best. I might have to make that today. But soup in hand sounds yummy except Tomato. Hate tomato soup. But I would try the rest on a fall afternoon. It sounds perfect for going to the pumpkin patch on a clear crisp cold day.
Ooh. I was actually anti-tomato myself, until I tried it with grilled cheese. Match made in heaven.
