If you’re an avid reader of the site, you probably already know that the Hello Giggles team really loves their ’90s Nickelodeon. I, however, lived in a household for the first 18 years of my life that didn’t believe in things like sugary cereal, Lunchables and worst of all, cable television. I know what you’re thinking: I was sorely deprived! Tortured! What did I do to deserve such cruel and unusual punishment? Where were child protective services during all of this?!
My lack of cable, however, may have worked in my favor when I met my now-fiancé Mark Saul almost ten years ago. I was in the 9th grade and he was in the 11th, and it was only a couple years after he had stopped working on All That, where he was a cast member during the last two seasons of the show’s Golden Age. As can be imagined, he was pretty renowned throughout El Camino Real High School for his renditions of the job-stealing Stuart and stellar dinosaur impressions. I, however, had no idea who he was other than the cute, sweet, funny upperclassman who would walk me to class, and he liked that about me.
Fast-forward a decade and here we are getting married next June. But to tell the truth, I still feel a tiny bit left out that I never got to experience All That in its heyday. Luckily, I’ve got a true insider sleeping in the bed next to me, so I thought I’d conduct this little video interview with Mark about his days on the show and share it with all of you.

Mark’s recent credits include Grey’s Anatomy, The Social Network and Parks and Recreation. He also does sketch comedy with his group Rat Pageant and plays music in his band The Flashcards. You can follow him on Twitter at @marksaul.

Great job Bergie! Lets start working on a Mark reality dance competition show!
This should be a series! I can do “So I married the Wham-O frisbee kid,” Randi can do “So I married a Wild & Crazy Kids contestant,” and Mike can do “So I slept with Ugly Betty.”
Very funny interview! Awesome stuff, I hope to see more from you on this site soon!
That dance was the best, you are a lucky lady
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. this serioiusly rules.
the dance made my day!
I was going to say the same thing. I have a job interview today, and I’m going to watch it again for inspiration before I leave.
El Camino! You guys used to school us at the DTASC drama fests (I went to Pali for 9th/10th grade). I used to covet your drama dept. like nobody’s business. Love this interview!
You’re not giving yourselves enough credit! Pali was definitely our main competitor in the 2001-2005 era.
We were stiff competition, but ’97/’98 and ’98/’99 it came down to El Camino in the end.
Pali always won, what are you talking about! at least they did between the years 1999 and 2002. Louisville High School!
