Polls So How Do You Feel About Scary Movies? Corinne Caputo

Tomorrow August 7th is National Lighthouse Day! I know that might sound boring but the more I thought about it, the cooler I realized it is. Personally, I think a lighthouse is a great location for a scary movie. Right? It’s creepy, it’s right on the water, it’s lonely. Imagine a few children ghosts that where pre-Civil War outfits and haunt the lighthouse while singing lullabies at night.

I’m easily frightened and just imaging that fake movie gives me the chills. I have a strange relationship with scary movies. They terrify me and then I have trouble sleeping but at the same time, I really like watching them. (I tend to look like the girl in the picture above.)

  1. I’ll watch them, with another person, in the daytime and cover my eyes about 75% of the time.

  2. I love all kinds of scary films! Zombies, ghosts, serial killers, demons, haunted houses, evil children, monsters, bring them all!!

  3. Scary video games are much worse. They are like movies except worse. But I hate anything scary. Haunts me for weeks.

  4. I don’t mind scary movies, as long as there isn’t bones being broken. I don’t mind people getting body parts hacked off, but if there’s a bone being broken, I won’t watch it. I really love psychological horror. Insidious was an awesome movie in that aspect.

  5. I hate them! My husband made me go and see “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” in 3D with him and I spent 90% of the film hiding my eyes in horror. I took him to see “Magic Mike” so that he could have the same experience. He won’t be doing that again in a hurry!

  6. I have to watch them during the day or I’ll have nightmares about them. Even then, I freak myself out when walking alone at night days after I see a scary movie.

  7. i only love splatter movies of the 60′s, 70′s and maybe 80′s. i’m also into psychological horror films but only if they r made REALLY good and the actors act convincing. i’m mostly disappointed in new horror films because they seem to get very mainstream and kind of appear to be all pretty similar. x

  8. Watch Shutter Island. Creepy lighthouse-voila!

  9. I prefer the scary movies where it’s slasher chase human! Gory is fine too. I don’t like the torture porn ones tho, bleargh, I prefer free range human to the ones strapped to a chair.
