I am a petite lady! 5"1 115 pounds and honestly inside I feel like an amazon! Just until that moment I'm waiting in line or talking to a group of people and I'm told "you are short!" It's like yes I can measure thank you! Also in middle school I weighed around 90 pounds because I had no t or a so my head always looked huge on my little body. It still kinda does but the more weight I gain the more proportioned my head is. I hate when people point out things I have a mirror I can see I have a zit too thanx! You made very valid points in your article thank you, it's nice to know someone else in the world thinks like me. :)

Skinny people today are like unicorns. I am always bombarded with insulting "compliments" about my size & I'll always smile and tell them I am quite proud of my figure. I'm 125lbs & 5'10; yet' everybody thinks I am a size 0 when I am totally a 7. i have no insecurities about my shape because I finally grew a pair of twins. i could not love this article more. I have always seen plenty of "Curvier women ARE REAL" or "Curvy>Skinny and I am over here like "I breathe too!!!! so I'm real"!! the whole dogs go for bones analogy makes me giggle all on it's own. I must be quite the expert in beastiality (spelling?) then because I have no problems with getting men even though I'm hella awkward lol.

Every woman has something unique about her & I hate the pressures many face with their insecurity. One day I hope for a a world full of strong' proud' independent women who don't cre another has longer legs' a smaller waistline' bigger boobs' etc.

People tell me I'm skinny all the time or the even more hilarious 'You look skinny today!' (that's because I am skinny, duh). Whenever they do this I'm just like "Thanks for sharing!".
It's like because you're thin and because thinness is supposedly an aesthetic ideal in current society you have something you have to answer for. Statements like the ones I mentioned above usually come out as some strange mix of compliment, disbelief, question and sometimes insult. It's bizarre.
