Every summer during the brief moments when my friends and I are not watching (insert any Lifetime show here, specifically Dance Moms), we say “We should go on a road trip this summer!!” We get very excited and start googling “weird things to see in the United States” which turns into a search for “weird hitchhikers” which turns into a search for “weird unsolved murders in the US.” By then the (insert any Lifetime show here) commercial break is over, or we decide that we should get (insert any type of food that can be delivered, specifically pad thai) and we never end up going on that road trip.
I want to say it’s not that we are lazy but rather we don’t have a lot of free time but it’s no secret that we spend our time less than wisely (but come on, if VH1 is going to have an I Love The ’90s marathon, yeah, I’m going to watch it in an air conditioned home).
Since summer has barely begun there is still hope that this year we will have some adventures but for now, I’ll listen to these songs and keep dreaming that my life is like (insert any kind of movie where the main characters drive around, specifically RV starring JoJo and Robin Williams).
