A Harry Potter bar is now open. Who wants a butterbeer?

Get ready Harry Potter fans, because the muggle world has gotten just a bit more magical.

Paris Xerx and Matt Rocks are basically wizards because they’ve opened up a Toronto-based bar that’s right on par with The Three Broomsticks. Except, in this world, it’s called The Lockhart. Sound familiar? We would hope so because it’s named after unreliable author/the least capable Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher Gilderoy Lockhart. So, essentially, these bar owners know their Rowling-related trivia.

“Without knowing any of the Harry Potter stuff, you already will think of this as a cool bar. You’d come here and see the stag’s head on the wall and go ‘Wow, I love that’, but a Harry Potter fan might say ‘That’s a Patronus’,” states Xerx. And it keeps getting better…

The bar’s sign is in the shape of a heart and reads “all was well” (the very last line in the Harry Potter series) in a delightfully curvy script. It’s also filled to the Sorting Hat’s brim with other fan-favorite surprises!

The bar area itself is reminiscent of an updated apothecary shop. Somewhere inside the establishment, there’s a Deathly Hallows symbol that visitors can seek out as they pretend they’re on a hunt for a Horcrux. As for the drink menu, you’ll find an assortment of beverages that are fit for anyone who’s looking for a place that’s as good as The Leaky Cauldron. There’s the “Befuddlement draft,” “The Shacklebolt,” and even a drink that you can get for free if you know what it’s referencing. It’s called: “Ludo’s Debt.” (Let us know if you can figure it out!)

Oh, and did we mention the events? For true Potterheads, there’s trivia nights and even an enchanting Halloween party in the works. We’d absolutely love to hop on a broomstick and fly to Toronto so that we can attend! (But only if we can find an ensemble that’s as perfect as Hermione’s Yule Ball dress.)

Now you probably have a really important question: Where’s the butterbeer?! Don’t worry – it’s on its way… as soon as the owners can come up with a spellbinding name that isn’t copyrighted.

We don’t know about you, but if we had the power to cast spells, we’d immediately make this bar appear closer to us. “Accio, The Lockhart!”
