I’m a classical cellist, so I dream of meeting the guy of my dreams amid stacks of sheet music at my local music store or eyeing the same reasonably priced and yet still high quality cello. What can I say? I guess I’m just a hopeless romantic.

I met my husband swing dancing. Old-timey politeness with awesome old-timey music, and an excuse to wear impressive vintage swing garb? Awesome place to meet dudes. They are generally very nice if you don’t really know what you’re doing, and the regulars point out the creepy guys and exclude them. Try it out! (P.S. I think that the saying that men who are good at dancing are good at other things is true.)

The local farmers’ market is a big one for me. I mean, a guy who is conscious about the quality of food he eats AND is committed to supporting local farmers? I’d be all over that in a heartbeat.
