Pie is one of my favorite desserts. I used to be obsessed with those personal pies, Table Talk Pies – my favorite flavor being Boston cream. In 7th grade, I was about to have one of those pie for breakfasts (although unhealthy, this was not an uncommon thing for me to eat). As I took the pie out of my cupboard, my doctor called my mom with some bad news. I had unusually high cholesterol. I felt sad, embarrassed and angry because I knew that I wouldn’t be allowed to have that pie for breakfast. Since that fateful day, I’ve never had a personal pie again.
Luckily I’ve learned how to eat healthier and I’ve gotten my cholesterol down. I can enjoy a single serving of pie and no longer feel the need to have a whole pie to myself. I love chocolate and peanut butter, so any pie using these ingredients is a winner in my book. What is your favorite type of pie?
