This post is dedicated to any and all discussions relating to tonight’s episode of “So You Think You Can Dance!”
Well this is it, the finalists will be chosen tonight. Then, the very first choreographed dances will performed on the SYTYCD stage. Bring on the brilliant choreographers! Sonya Tayeh, Nappy Tabs, Travis Wall, Stacey Tookey, we can’t wait to see what you have in store for this season!
The show starts tonight at 8:00pm EST, but this thread’s here all day. Let’s discuss!

2 winners?! How very “Hunger Games” of them. Whatever, I love it!
MIA’S BACK!!!!! I’m so happy! I missed her routines last season. Sonya and Travis always amaze me, too. I was surprised at the risks they took with Amelia and Sirus. I love them both, but i’m wondering if it will come back to bite them in the butt.
And as always… Zooey, you’re amazing!
AHH I could watch Sonya Tayeh routines ALL.EFFING.DAY.
Watching SYTYCD…. I love you Zooey!
YAY Zooey!!!!
Finally the show has begun! I am always so anxious until they pick the Top 20.
I think my only disappointment was Feliciano (sp?). I’m not sure which man I would have left out to put him in but I think he would have formidable.
I thought Nick, before being picked, was very moving when he said how he “always felt like I was in the shadows of great people.” What an accomplishment for him to achieve being on the show.
My favourite numbers were Desmond and Dwight’s ballet. I love those three dancers and their classical strength, especially Eliana (sp?). Travis’ piece for the girls was ethereal as Cat said and I thought it the costumes were lovely and elegant. And lastly, Sonya’s piece for the two jazz girls, Tiffany and Audrey. I like them both as well.
I thought Matthew’s “jiggle” moment was compelling to see as a male expressing self-consciousness about it. I think it proves body issues are not restricted to women, however, it also proves you can be talented and successful without having a “perfect” body.
P.S. I think Mary needs to drop “there for your partner every step of the way” from her phrase bank.
YAY the flapper-esque girl made it!!!! She is my absolute FAVORITE!
SOOO happy that both Ballroom ladies made it into the Top 20!!! As well as the classically trained ballerina! Definitely my favorites!
I also love that they are having 2 winners this year
America’s favorite guy AND America’s favorite girl!
