Also, yes I wanna live in Stars Hollow and share infinite cups of coffee with everyone in town; yes my ideal man is Jess with a touch of Dean; yes I want to be as cute as Alexis and as witty as Lorelai, and have a bff like Lane and Paris (well, I kinda do). I think the sixth season, with the original writers gone, was a bit off, but it never got ridiculous or lame, just weird. And all that weirdness didn’t affect the ending, which I thought was rushed but great. Specially since it meant Rory did not stay with Logan because, let’s face it, I never liked him for her and her main goal since episode 1 was to be a fulfilled reporter and travel the world. I think it sends a great message that you do not have to compromise your career when the world is still “your oister” so to speak, and love will come and go but first of all you have to be good to yourself.

OH, I am the ultimate GG fan (also bothers me now that “GG” stands for Gossip Girl.. As if!). I keep on watching it over and over again and never get tired. There’s nothing like it, but the closest thing is PARENTHOOD. I really really recommend you to watch Parenthood. This show is filled with that same feel-good vibe as Gilmore Girls while keeping it real, dramatic and cute at the same time. Of course, I started watching the show because of Lorelai – I mean – Lauren, hehe. And she plays a single mom again, BUT she’s such a great actress that and the show is so well written that Sarah and Lorelai are NOTHING alike, except if you count their humongous big hearts.

It’s been like four years since I’ve watched the last episode but I can’t get over the fact that GG is gone. Nevertheless, it is a series that gets even better with time. Which means that reruns are a very good idea all the time. I miss Lorelai everyday. Well, you asked us to recommend shows to fill the void. The truth is there’s no way fo fill it, but you do have the chance to get to love other really great shows. I can put really good words at Everwood, Felicity and Parenthood. Those have similar themes to GG. Give it a try.

Though the characters are not as developed as in GG, for recovery purposes I would watch Felicity. It is only four seasons (i.e. a limited obsession) and each season is 1 year of her college education. I really love the show and got really into it, though, admittedly, it is cheesy.

The O.C. must, MUST be next for you. I have the exact same love for Gilmore Girls, so I feel like you you’ll have the exact same love for the O.C. I just finished all 4 seasons in a matter of weeks (probably my 3rd time to watch them all the way through) and I am experiencing serious withdrawals.
