National Doughnut Day

The first Friday of every June is National Doughnut Day! This day originated with the The Salvation Army in 1938 as a tribute to the women who served doughnuts to U.S. soldiers during World War I. You can find the original recipe here!

I’ve always been a fan of doughnuts, especially the ones with the jelly filling. What’s your favorite doughnut topping/filling?
