Five Faves is a weekly video series where I tell you about my five most favorite things/people/places of the week. Consider it a combination of information, gratitude and insight into what it is that makes me tick. Like, watch these every week and you’ll eventually have all the information you need to lure me away from home to a scary location where you can torture me or maybe murder me, depending on your style.
I want to know what you love too, so please make sure to tell me your Five Faves in the comments (or maybe make a YouTube response video! That would be tight!)

My Five Favs this week:
1. Aveeno Sun block SPF 55- a must have for my beach trips this summer
2. A Visit From the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan- a must read. very cool, very funny
3. Meeting Lou Reed at Stand book store in New York City Monday night
4. My free tote bag from Stand
5. Finding Miss Molls’ videos on Hello Giggles! Love ‘em, thank you!
1. vanilla coke zero ( i dont care if it will give me cellulite it tastes fucking AH-mazeing)
2.kale chips. i cannot stop thinking about them.
3.barefoot wine.. mostly the pinot grigio, nothing tastes better that fucking chilled wine when its 100 degrees out.
4.the bluegreen nail polish called “read my palm” from sephora by opi.
5.tangent and the times latest episode. “i know about the snow” seriously snow is awful. its like pretty and stuff, but damn it is not friendly
Looove your tea kettle. Jus Sayin’ :*
I love Salvador Dali (i actually have one of his long legged elephants tattooed on me, and he remains my favorite tattoo to date)
This whole post is fantastic.
Pretty fucking positive the gay native american would have been my #1 fav. Not the actual person, but the title.
1. My new milk frother from IKEA – It was $1.99, and it works amazingly well. Who needs to pay a barrista when you have your own frother?
2. Tina Fey’s “Rules of Improvisation That Will Change Your Life & Reduce Belly Fat,” featured in her book Bossypants (which has been a fave or mine for months now!) – They are not only great for improv but for interpersonal communication in general. In addition, her delivery of them is impeccable.
3. Handmade gifts – Love to give them and receive them. Plus, making them helps increase productivity while procrastinating on other, less fun things.
4. Marissa A. Ross’s wine reviews on Hellogiggles.com (another fave of mine for some time now!) – She is the most reliable source for a girl on a budget.
5. Asian Plum White Tea (Salada) – Simply the best, iced or hot.
I love your glasses, just thought I’d throw that out there..
1 I was looking around Youtube and I came across this video of The Beach Boys in concert joined by the Everly Brothers, which was really awesome and I love it. Two of America’s best musical acts ever joined forces at what looked like a giant beach party. Super cool! (Makes me relate to wanting to time travel as well
)
2 I’m planning a trip to the States in July and I bought my Dodger tickets this week, which I’m really excited about.. I love baseball and the Dodgers.
3 I got my mom to join twitter, under the pretense that it was easiest to keep up with me via twitter when I’m in the States. Which is true.. (aside from calls and skype).. Still my mom joined the hip folks and is on twitter..
4 In total agreement of chilling with an adult beverage.
5 The favorite cartoon discussion on twitter and facebook with Hello Giggles, like 2 days ago? I love talking about the cartoons I used to watch (and sometimes still do), it’s fun to reminisce about those things. And I got to see that people from ALL over the world share my love for the Gummie Bears, Smurfs, Snorks, Duck tales etc etc etc.. Really cool.
1. Gotta agree with the chilling with an adult beverage, a few glasses of white wine (red makes me far too drunk/leads to spewing, which isn’t nice for anybody) sat outside on a warm evening.
2. BBQs on sunny days, now for some people this may be a regular thing but unfortunately the UK isn’t known for it’s hot weather so when the sun does come out I’ve got to grab the opportunity for some al fresco dining. And luckily today I got to gorge myself on sausages, burgers and chicken. Greedy, I know.
3. The most important like this week is my family. Spending time with the people I know will always be there for me, no matter what, is the best. Catching up with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, parents and brother is always fun, especially as today it was combined with numbers 1 and 2 on this list.
4. Bridesmaids. Saw this film earlier in the week and it’s absolutely hilarious. Best comedy I’ve seen in a good while and laughter really is good for you.
5. Floral dresses. I own far too many but nothing screams summer like it. They’re so pretty, plus I love how feminine they make me feel, makes such a change to the jeans I usually live in.
<3 you Molls!
Thank you, Rachel. xo
I created a response video and you can view it here. I would like to preface any viewing with the following:
1. It’s cool if you cringe all the way through this because I do too.
2. I say “tangent and the times” instead of “tangents and the times” and it makes me feel miserable.
3. My #6 fav is my hair in this video, obviously.
Omg girl, do not feel terrible because 1. it happens all the time. 2. I don’t care. 3. thank you so much for the kind words! You are too sweet. Your video was great (I love Target too!
) & I think you should do a response every week.
Just want to publicly say that Molly giving my series a place in her top five is my top favorite thing OF MY LIFE.
1. eyedrops. never gave them enough credit before and now they’re really rocking my world. so refreshing.
2. BYOB’s. nothing further to elaborate on.
3. banana cream pie yoplait light. all it needs is a graham cracker. must try.
4. a good trade. i was at a concert on friday and someone offered me a beer in exchange for 1 of my glowstix. um.. deal.
5. the gay pride parade going on outside my apartment in chicago right now.
My 5 Favs:
1. Dressing like an adult- as a recent college grad, I’m kinda digging buying clothes that aren’t all made out of lycra. While I’ll always be loyal to my yoga pants, dressing like a real adult sometimes gives me a nice little rush, like my thousands in debt might go away someday, if I strut this new apparel from Kohls.
2. Alexis from RHOC- now hear me out- on the lost clips this week she said “if the grass is greener on the other side, water your own lawn”- while she didn’t invent this quote, I was like damn girl, you’re right!
3. New York Senate approving Gay marriage- 6 down, 44 to go!
4. Free Pie Wednesday at Bakers Square- Im pretty sure Bakers Square is a national chain? Every Wednesday if you order something from the menu, you get a free slice of whatever pie you want. French Silk, need I say more.
5. Taking a bath- I usually don’t take baths because a) my legs are too long and b) I get bored before the water fills up. But since I’ve recently found the adult side of myself, I had patience for the water to fill and I actually enjoyed a nice book. Plus, you get clean WHILE laying there. Amen and amen.
Adult beverage!
