What I Used:
under eyes: Make Up For Ever HD Concealer in 325
eyeliner: MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack, Make Up For Ever Aqua Eye Liquid Liner in #10 (red)
eye brows: The Body Shop eye pencil in black
eye lashes: Lancome Hypnose Drama
cheeks: MAC in Harmony, MAC Highlighter in Pearl
I love experimenting with colored liners; they are a fun way to spruce up a tired makeup routine. Red seems like a weird choice for eye liner, (and if applied with a pencil it could get into “I haven’t slept in days” territory rather fast) but as a liquid liner, it works. Also, by coupling it with bold brows you will achieve a defined look, instead of it looking like you might have allergies.
First I filled in my brows with regular black eye liner pencil. I did this lightly; for black, it should look fairly natural.
Next I lined the inner rim of my top lid with Blacktrack. This will define the actual eye so it doesn’t get lost in the red liner.
Then I applied heavy, winged liner with the red from the inner to the outer corner of the eyes. Of course, this liner can be as thick or thin as you choose. If your eyes are small, you might want to make the liner a little less heavy. Experiment to figure out what works best on your own face!
Next, I used MAC highlighter on my cheek bones, blending it into the skin lightly so the shimmer is still very visible.
I applied blush heavily underneath my cheek bones.
Last, but not least I applied coats and coats of mascara.
