Making Faces Making Faces: Midnight Eyes Annamarie Tendler

What I Used:

Under eyes: Make Up For Ever HD Concealer in 325

Eyeliner: The Body Shop Liquid Liner in black

Eyeshadow: NARS Eyeshadow in Night Flight

Eye brows: MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Fling

Eye lashes: L’Oreal Voluminous

Cheeks: NARS Eye Pencil in Hollywoodland

I don’t often wear a full dark-makeup eye; It’s difficult to pull off – unless, of course, you are Kim Kardashian.  This is definitely a night-on-the-town look and not something I’d recommend wearing to work, or, say, lunch with your in-laws.  In the photo, this shadow appears black, but it’s actually a very dark navy blue.  I used one color for the entire eye but controlled the shade with the pressure of the brush and the amount of product.  Heavy pressure and more product was used on the outer corners of the eye, while I used light pressure and light makeup toward the inner corners.  You’ll want to use your eye socket bones as a guide for where your shadow should be, bringing the outer corners of the shadow just out and over the bones.

Next, I lined the top lid with liquid liner from The Body Shop, as well as the upper and lower inner rims of the eyes.

Last I applied mascara and a sweep of NARS Hollywoodland, a great highlighting pencil, down the bridge of the nose and on the top of the cheekbones as a highlighter.

  1. Oh I would totally wear this look! I did something similar for the Halloween party at my school!
