lips: NARS Lip Liner in Jungle Red, NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Red Square, NARS Lipstick in Heat Wave

Last September I was lucky enough to attend the Emmys.  Since prom season is right around the corner, I figured a fancy look was in order!

First I lined the eyes with Blacktrack, making a cat eye and filling in the upper and lower inner rims.

Next, I applied the MAC Highlighter to the inner corners of the lid, bringing it slightly onto the inner lower lid.

Then I applied a light sweep of shadow from liner to crease, blending so there are no hard lines.

Next I applied a good amount of MAC Highlighter to the cheekbones, blending up toward the temple.  You can never have too much shimmer when you’re going to a fancy affair. (Well, maybe you can.)

I applied blush underneath the cheekbones blending upward onto the apples of the cheeks.

Last I applied the lips, first lining them with Jungle Red liner, then filling them in with NARS Red Square.  Oh, but wait, I’m not finished yet… finally went over the lips with NARS Heat Wave.  Keep in mind, I’m a makeup artist so I have all of these products at my disposal; using just one great shade of red is more than enough!

I planned to wear false lashes, but then forgot to bring eyelash glue. Seriously?  So, to make up for it, I applied mascara for like, 5 straight minutes.
